Artist's Comments

I was looking at my old version of One Way as a result of doing this, and I realized that the message of it could have come across so much stronger than it did. In this version, I tried to better balance the space and added the birds for impact. I also decided to include a far more relevant quote than I previously had, which was something about mice.

The quote was a hard pick. Some of the others I considered I want to share below:

"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man."
- Dr. Samuel Johnson (1707 - 1784)

"We are spinning our own fates, good or evil, never to be undone."
- William James, The Principles of Psychology

and especially,

"Allow the President to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion ... and you allow him to make war at pleasure. If today, he should choose to say he thinks it necessary to invade Canada, to prevent the British from invading us, how could you stop him? You may say to him, 'I see no probability of the British invading us' but he will say to you, 'Be silent; I see it, if you don't.'"
- Abraham Lincoln

Very interesting. I think adding the birds did help. It was a good image before, but you did a wonderful job of portraying what you wanted. I love the simplicity of the image, but the complexity of the quote and true message. :)

:) Smile, it makes a mouth happy. :)

Maybe if I wander around long enough, I'll find myself...
And once again, I'm lost.

Heyyy niiice, I like this version better. I'm totally getting this creepier feeling from the image now that the birds are there. I like them.

I think my only crit is the letter O in this image that I only noticed now lol. Dimensionally, it kind of looks like it's popping up a little towards us. Maybe you can flatten it to the ground more by moving the hole a little farther back. :3

I always loved this one. It's just so original.

This is an amazing image, nice job. I really love the brown you used on this too!

Great work!

I went through all of your pictures and this is, in my opinion, the best one. I very much like the style, the message and everything about it.
